Aliko Dangote, Chairman
Alhaji Aliko Dangote is the Chairman of Dangote Cement and founder of the Dangote Group, of which he is President and Chief Executive.
Mr Dangote is a graduate of Business Studies from the Al-Azahar University, Cairo, Egypt. He entered business in 1977 trading in rice, sugar and cement, before he ventured into full-scale manufacturing.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote holds the national honour of Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) and is the first Nigerian outside of government to receive the honour. He has received many laurels both within and outside the country in recognition of his achievements and philanthropy. In 2010 he was adjudged one of 50 Distinguished Nigerians at the Nigeria at 50 awards; he was The Sun Man of the Year 2010; the Fate Foundation Model Entrepreneur of the Decade and BusinessWorld Investor of the Year 2010.

D.V.G. Edwin, Chief Executive
D.V.G. Edwin is a Chartered Engineer who holds Graduate and Master’s Degrees in Engineeringfrom the Madras University in India, as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from IITM,Holland. Mr. Edwin joined Dangote Group in 1992 as a General Manager and was initially responsible for twotextile mills. He was promoted as Group General Manager in 1994 and Executive Director (Projects)in 1998. He has managed almost all building projects recently undertaken by the Dangote Group,including the construction of Dangote Cement’s plants at Obajana and Ibese. In 2000, he became the Executive Director (Industries & Projects) and he was vested with theresponsibility of supervising all the plants in the Group including the sugar refinery, cement terminal,salt plant, flour mills, pasta plant, packaging materials plant and textile mills. In 2002, he waselevated to the position of Group Executive Director (Business Development) to handle all the newprojects.

Kuzhyil Ravindran, Group Chief Finance Officer Kuzhyil Ravindran is qualified Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has more than 36 years' experience in various professional capacities in leading Indian companies such as ACC Limited and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited. He has varied experience in different industries such as cement, auto ancillaries, tobacco and machine tools. Prior to joining the Dangote Group in 2009, as Group CFO he was Director, Finance and Controlling with ACC Ltd.

Sani Dangote, Director
He has substantial experience in key sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, banking and oil services. He sits on the Board of several other companies including Nigerian Textile Mills Plc, Nutra Sweet Limited, Gum Arabic Limited, Dangote Textile Mills Limited, Alsan Insurance Brokers, Dan- Hydro Company Limited, Dansa Food Processing Company Limited and Dangote Farms Limited. He is also the Deputy Chairman of African Gum Arabic Producers Association and a two-time President of Lagos Polo Club in addition to being a professional polo player. In recognition of his sterling leadership qualities, he was recently appointed as the Consul-General of the Romanian Embassy in Nigeria. He is a member of several Chambers of Commerce, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Shipping of Nigeria and President of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association (“FERSAN”).

Olakunle Alake, Director
Olakunle Alake is a director of Dangote Cement and the Chief Operating Officer of the Dangote Group. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (1993) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. In August 1993, he was appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive of Liberty Merchant Securities Limited. He was a management consultant and part of the team that provided turnaround services for the acquisition of International Trust Bank Plc by Dangote Group in August 1996. In July 1997, he joined Dangote Group as Financial Controller and Head of Strategic Services. He was appointed to the Board as Executive Director and given the responsibility for the Group strategy in 2001. In January 2007, he was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer. Abdu Dantata, Director
Alhaji Abdu Garba Dantata is a Director of Dangote Cement and the Dangote Group's ExecutiveDirector in charge of Logistics and Distribution. He was previously the Executive Director, Sales &Marketing in the Dangote Group, a position he has held since the Group was established morethan 20 years ago.
Alhaji Dantata has responsibility for coordinating the sales and marketing of all products manufactured or imported by the Dangote Group. He is the Chairman of Agad Nigeria Limited, a trading and transportation company operating throughout Nigeria. He has attended various training within and outside the country including the famous Kellogg School of Management, United States of America. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Shipping.

He has worked in several major organisations including Shell-BP and the cement companies Blue Circle and WAPCO, the latter he headed as Managing Director/CE for a decade before taking up an appointment as Managing Director/CE of National Electric Power Authority (Power Holding Company of Nigeria).
Engr. Makoju served as Special Adviser (Electric Power) to the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria under two separate Administrations and is presently Honorary Adviser on Electric Power to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He is Chairman, West African Power Pool Executive Board as well as Chairman, Cement Manufacturers Association of Nigeria.
Engr. Makoju holds a number of awards including a national honour from the Federal Republic of Nigeria - Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) and a national honour from the Republic of Niger -Grand Commander of the Special Order of Merit (GCSO).

Olusegun Olusanya, Director
Olusegun Olusanya is a Director of Dangote Cement. An accountant, he attended the London School of Economics where he obtained the Master of Science degree in Economics. He was Deputy General Manager, Finance and Strategic Planning in Savannah Bank Nigeria Plc, Executive Director at Afribank Nigeria Plc, and Executive Director, Union Bank between 1993 and 1999. Mr Olusanya was also Chairman of the National Bank of Nigeria Ltd and sits on the boards of many companies.
