ERDOGAN REFUSES TO SPEAK TO EGYPT'S ELBARADEI

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has refused to speak to Egypt's new Vice-President Mohamed ElBaradei, the latest broadside in a spat that erupted after the military coup in the Arab world's most populous country. Erdogan infuriated Egypt's interim leaders after he voiced support for ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi. "How could I speak to you? You were not elected, you were appointed by the orchestrators of a coup," he said on Wednesday, addressing ElBaradei in remarks carried on CNN-Turk's website. ElBaradei, a prominent liberal and former head of the UN nuclear watchdog, was sworn in on Sunday as part of a new cabinet appointed after the July 3 military overthrow of Morsi. Erdogan, leader of the Islamic-rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP), had branded the coup as an "enemy of democracy" and said Morsi was the only legitimate president of Egypt. He said he had received a letter from ElBaradei seek

Speaking on the new iOS 7 beta

A Thicker Hope July 8, 2013  iOS 7 beta 3 came out thiss morning with a surprisingly major change: as I first saw reported by Sebastiaan de With  and later more specificially  identified by Neven Mrgan , the system font has allegedly been changed from Helvetica Neue Light to Helvetica Neue (regular). 1  Compare: It’s a subtle change in theory, but it has a huge effect — see for yourself. This paragraph is in Helvetica Neue Light if you’re on a device that has the Helvetica Neue family. (If not, you probably don’t care about fonts, so it will be Comic Sans.) Light weights look cool (moreso at larger sizes) and work well in advertising and logos, but are generally harder to read. The system font’s most important job is to be legible

"Nike (Oshinowo) will return to me" - ex-husband Tunde Soleye says

The multimillionaire medical doctor and businessman, whose marriage to former beauty queen and socialite Nike Oshinowo ended in 2012, tells Sunday Newswatch "Adenike still remains the love of my life. I love her very much. We have been separated now for over a year but we still keep in touch. We even sometimes go out for dinner. Marriages go though their challenges. Nike got married at 41 years old so she has her ways but the things that separated us really are not irreparable. I have seen couples that broke up and made up after 35 years. Mr and Mrs Cardoso, Terry Wayas and Eno Olafisoye had about five, six years separation and they are back together. It is not the first time Nike will be leaving me, and it will not be the last. It is only that this is the first time it will be reported. Since we have been dating, we have parted ways for six good years. We started dating in 2000, in 2001 she ran away. In 2006, we came back together and got married in 2007. My first wife has

"God told me not to celebrate my 50th birthday' - TB Joshua explains why....

The founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations turned 50 on June 12th and shunned all forms of celebration put together by his church members, choosing instead to celebrate by communicating with God at the 'mountains'. He explains why: "There was a divine message to me to shun all activities on my 50th. I don't act if I don't get the call. There's a need to keep one's life in prayer. What I need now is more commitment and time with God and not celebrating. I will only celebrate when I'm 60. That is when I will forget about 50. Even the little activity put together by my church members, they know they were not celebrating Mr T.B Joshua rather Prophet T.B Joshua and it is their divine duty to do so

LUTH acquires scanner that detects death in 10 seconds

Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH said they have acquired a CT scan equipment that has the capacity to run a check on all organs of the body, from head to toe in less than 10 seconds and fish out a patients death points for immediate treatment. The machine, called the 128-slice Aquillon CT scanner is the first of it's kind in West Africa. Speaking on the machine, the  Chief Medical Director, LUTH, Professor Akin Osibogun told Nigerian Tribune:  "The Aquillon CT scanner is a 128-scanner and the main advantage it has over other CT scanners of earlier generations is its ability to penetrate deeper into the tissues and organs to show clearly the state of those tissues and organs. Of course the CT scanner is an imaging device and because it is able to provide images of tissues and organs inside the body. We are able to see the state in which those tissues and organs are and we are able to make diagnosis that help us to provide appropriate treatment for the patients.

Andy Murray deserves knighthood - David Cameron

44 Andy Murray deserves knighthood - David Cameron Prime Minister David Cameron says Andy Murray deserves a knighthood after becoming the first Briton to win the Wimbledon men's singles since 1936. Murray won the title  with a 6-4 7-5 6-4 triumph against world number one Novak Djokovic  on Sunday. "I can't think of anyone who deserves one more," said Mr Cameron, who watched the match from the Royal Box. But Murray said: "It's a nice thing to have or be offered but I don't know if it merits that." Mr Cameron said Murray's win had "lifted the spirits of the whole country". The prime minister cannot personally award an honour to the 26-year-old, stressing that they are awarded independently. People are nominated for their achievements by members of the public and whether they are given an honour - and the type of honour - is decided by a committee. The committee's decision goes to the prime minister and then to
